My Inspiration: Miss Sam Schuerman!

~MISS SAM SCHUERMAN~

I got alil' bored and decided to browse my all time favorite Blogger's page: Sam Schuerman! This particular blog post from her Blogger page is what made me have an epiphany. Her blog post is titled: My Hair Throughout The Years  (http://www.samschuerman.com/2012/02/my-hair-throughout-years.html). It features a photo gallery of her hair changes throughout time. What I loved is her hilarious, sweet and adorable comments she left about herself under each photo. Her openness with the world is why all of her fans choose to follow her. To date she has around 1,766 followers on Blogger and about 56,611 subscribers on YouTube! She allows "us" to be who we are and not be ashamed about it.  Her realness may accompany an occasional mess-up, a hilarious vocabulary or poke about a little blemish or flaw that day, but this is why we all enjoy her. I guarantee once you start following her, you are bound to fall in love and laugh at LEAST once! She is not only talented as a Hair Stylist and Makeup Artist, but she is a genuine, down to earth wife and mother:)

Sam has inspired me to not give up on my dreams and accomplish all I desire as a mommy and MUA. Her video blogs are detailed, a little silly at times, and fun! Her tutorials are thorough and extremely helpful. Her ideas are current and fresh and her humor is so like-able...

Even throughout her success as a blogger she has became cyber-bullied. I have a post from 2011, titled Sam Scheruman (http://ashleyrosesims.blogspot.com/2011/12/sam-schuerman.html). It explains why I adore her so much and my opinions on cyber-bullying. What I love is even though she had been hurt by people's comments and some undisclosed incidents, is that she decided to be strong and continue on with her videos and blogs. After much thought on this issue and many sad followers, she has made a great decision to pull through the negativity and continue with what makes her happy. I was very proud of her openness with the world about what was going on in her life. Even thought she went back and fourth many times on the issue, she was open about her thoughts.

My future goal would definitely be to use her knowledge and personality as inspiration towards my new business. She is smart, sexy, beautiful and funny:) All the qualities I hope to pocess as a new Makeup Artist and blogger:)

Brush Maintenance:

These are a few of my favorite products that I use to clean my brushes (their pictures are down below). If you are a makeup artist then you will need to make sure you are cleaning your brushes between uses. After you have done a clients makeup, you are going to want to clean the brush with a few sprays of your favorite brush cleaner. After working the solution into the bristles you are going to want to run it under luke warm water. After most of the color is out of the bristles you will want to lay each of the brushes out on a paper towel to air dry. Make sure to pat out most of the water before you lay flat to dry. You should also re-shape the brushes into their "pre-purchased shape." Another thing to note is the usage of antibacterial brush cleaner or an antibacterial spray. You are going to want to follow the directions located on the bottle to sanitize your brush sets regularly. Now, if you are busy and use your brushes ONLY on yourself, then I would at LEAST wash them once a week. Remember, we too can spread bacteria to ourselves from cuts, acne breakouts etc. Hope that helps!~ xo ASH

Sephora Daily Brush Cleaner (antibacterial formula)

Sephora Quick-Drying Cleansing Wipes

Bare Escentuals Quick Change Brush Cleaner
The Sephora Quick-Drying Cleansing Wipes and The Bare Escentuals Quick Change Brush Cleaner are both awesome for when you are doing makeup on yourself or a client and want to use the same brush multiple times but want to change colors of makeup. These will clean the color off of the brushes but allow for quick drying time so you can get the job done promptly!
Prices do vary but I recently purchased the Sephora brand (top picture) w/ antibacterial agents for $6! That's a great deal for such a fantastic product!
